December 2009: The offices at SBA have had a make-over during the Christmas period, so the newly refreshed surroundings can mirror the warm welcome all clients get when they visit SBA.
November 2009: SBA is now on Facebook, so clients and members of the public can follow the events within SBA, send questions in and get handy financial top tips, through the social networking site.
October 2009: Steven and Jasmine are working hard and studying for more exams, so they can both become fully Chartered IFA’s.
September 2009: SBA holds the final Pension Management Seminar for 2009. The whole seminar programme for 2009, has been a massive success and SBA is proud to have helped so many individuals boost their pension funds, without paying any more money into them!
June 2009: Jasmine, our resident Trainee IFA, passes her J02 Exam on Trusts.
April 2009: After two years of research, training and trialling, SBA is thrilled to announce the launch of its innovative Lifestyle Planning Service, allowing the practice to provide true financial planning to its clients. SBA is extremely proud to be one of only a few hundred IFA Firms in the country, who are using this advanced and specialist planning software.
July 2008: News Flash: Julie & Jasmine have now passed their final exams and are both now Fully Qualified Financial Advisors.
April 2008: Julie & Jasmine passed their CeFA 2 exams successfully and are now well on their way to completing their next set of exams in May.
April 2008: In response to the current economic climate and the difficulties many people are experiencing, SBA have decided to hold ‘Financial Health Check-Up’s’ on a Saturday for anyone who is struggling to keep up with their Mortgage Payments or is concerned about their Investments. The Saturday Sessions will run from April till June, for more information please contact the office.
March 2008: Julie & Jasmine spent another week in Milton Keynes studying for their CeFA 2 exams, this is the first exam towards them becoming fully qualified Financial Advisors.
March 2008: The whole team at SBA were delighted to receive the ‘Most Recommended Company’ Award by the Disc Directory. From over 10,000 companies in Portsmouth & Southampton, SBA Financial ranked the number one firm recommended on the Disc Directory Website.
December 2007: SBA holds the Annual Children’s Christmas Party in aid of the Rainbow Centre in Fareham.
December 2007: SBA wins the ‘We Can Do It’ Award for Best Business at the Awards Ceremony in Portsmouth, presented by Sally Taylor from BBC South Today.
November 2007: Julie and Jasmine passed all three modules of their exams and are now fully qualified Mortgage Advisors.
October 2007: Julie and Jasmine spend two weeks in Milton Keynes, doing an intensive Ce-MAP Course, so they can take their Mortgage Advisor Exams.
September 2007: SBA becomes a recognised Investor in People organisation.
September 2007: SBA holds the Grease Themed Charity Dinner and raise £4000 for Help A Local Child & The MS Society.
August 2007: Thanks to a client of SBA, Ms Dawn McGee, SBA were nominated for the Portsmouth Evening News ‘We Can Do It Award’ for Best Business.
July 2007: SBA joins up with the Round Table and holds a Charity Race Night to raise money for Victim & Witness Support in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
